Cross Country Skiing Men Mass Start 30 km - 27th Winter Universiade, Strbske Pleso/Osrblie

Strbske Pleso/Osrblie - ll three medals in the last cross country skiing competition, 30 km free mass start were won by the Russian Federation. The gold went to Andray Larkov who made the 30km race in 1:16:20.1. The second place went to Raul Shakirzianov (+0.6) and Artem Nikolaev (+1.6) ended third. Andrey and Artem have won 2 medals, however, for Raul it is already his fourth. As we have seen in other disciplines, Russian athletes managed a great finish and without a moment of hesitation placed themselves on the first five positions. It does not come as a surprise, even though they have been holding back during the race, since their tactics are well known and tested. Although we cannot talk about any agreed strategy, the athletes helped each other out but they also said that everybody had to win on their own.
