The North Face Ski Challenge - Introduction

The fifth edition of The North Face® Ski Challenge presented by GORE-TEX®, gives the chance for young freeski enthusiasts to earn the title of Rookie Freeskier of the Year, and a 12-month athlete sponsorship supplied by The North Face®. Individual qualifiers in slopestyle and off-piste take place in Flachauwinkl, Austria, Åre, Sweden and Chamonix, France, supplying entries to the finals taking place in Val Thorens, France. Four age categories allow a wide range of participation for both girls and boys: Kids (12-13 years); Teens (14-15 years); Kings (16-18 years); Queens (12-18 years); and, new for 2011, Emperors (19-20 years). Registrations are now open to any European-born rider, within each age category, until all spots are filled.
