Spring finally claims long-awaited win | IBSF Official
First World Cup victory for local hero Chris Spring: At the BMW IBSF World Cup in Whistler (CAN), the bobsleigh pilot from Canada and his brakeman Lascelles Brown won the second two-man bobsleigh race in front of a home crowd. Following two runs at Whistler Sliding Center, home of the ice track used for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Spring/Brown held a 0.20-second lead over the Latvian pairing of Ugis Zalims/Intars Dambis, who achieved their first podium finish of the 2015/2016 World Cup season. Alexander Kasjanov/Alexei Pushkarev (0.24 seconds) of Russia finished third.
