The halfpipe competition saw Virginie Faivre (SUI) defend her Voss 2013 title to win her third WSCs gold in her fourth attempt, matching a ladies' single-event record jointly held by moguls skier Jennifer Heil (CAN) and aerialist Li Nina (CHN). For the men, it was former Alpine racer Kyle Smaine (USA) for the second-straight victory by a US athlete.
