The magic of Nordic Combined - FIS Nordic Combined - BEHIND THE SCENES
Nordic Combined - the toughest winter sports of them all. How does it work, what makes it special and what sets it apart from the all other disciplines? In a new video series, FIS Nordic Combined will take you "Behind the Scenes" of the World Cup tour and let the ultimate winter athletes themselves give you a tour of their world. DESCRIPTION: Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
