A competition day on the Nordic Combined World Cup is a long affair and there's always something to do. The French team takes us with them for one day behind the scenes of the Nordic Combined competition at Holmenkollen, Oslo. DESCRIPTION: Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
