Inside the Judges' Tower - FIS Nordic Combined - BEHIND THE SCENES
Have you ever wondered how the ski jumping part of Nordic Combined actually works and the athletes get a final score in the end that determines the intermediate rankings? In this episode of BEHIND THE SCENES we take you into the judges' tower to show you what happens behind the scenes of a ski jumping competition. DESCRIPTION: Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
