Back in business - FIS Nordic Combined - BEHIND THE SCENES
Nordic Combined is back in business! After a long break due to warm temperatures and the lack of snow in central Europe, the World Cup resumes in Chaux-Neuve, France, and the athletes could not be more excited as they tell you in this brand-new edition of BEHIND THE SCENES! DESCRIPTION: Nordic Combined is a winter sport in which athletes compete in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The first major competition in Nordic combined was held in 1892 in Oslo at the first Holmenkollen Ski Festival, an event still held annually. The sport was included at the 1924 Winter Olympics, and has been on the programme ever since.
