A bit wider than a classic carving ski the running surface is increased by about 6 %. This allows consistent edging on varying surfaces and when carving makes higher edge angles possible.
SKI GEOMETRY:
The ELLIPTICAL RADIUS enables agile turns. The narrower turning radius in the shovel creates progressive steering characteristics. Only 5 –7 cm behind the contact point the sidecut merges with the shovel geometry. Precision and performance.
WOOD CORE:
For maximum performance frontside a high tensile, low weight and high stability ash wood core is needed. The RX 12 uses ash because it exhibits these characteristics. Features: With a 0.8 mm titanal base sheet and a 0.5 mm top sheet; the stability is optimized and weight is reduced. The HOLLOWTECH at the shovel delivers further weight reduction.
WEAR PROTECTION:
A 45°aluminium bevel at the surface of the ski, distributes impacts and protects against mechanical wear.
