The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains overlook a beautiful region which has become famous for businesses, James Bond and for downhill World Cup. Spectacular Mountain railways lead to their peaks, the Jungfrau Railway from 1912 holds the record for highest railway station Europe: "Top of Europe" (3454 m). The stunning valley "U" of Lauterbrunnen is one of the largest areas under environmental protection in Switzerland, with 72 waterfalls, tranquil valleys, fresh pastures at high altitude and lonely mountain inns.
Overall, the region provides 213 kilometers of ski slopes divided into three districts of the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau Top Region. The ski resort of Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg Männlichen, with the famous Lauberhorn downhill andEiger Glacier, have many blue and red runs, ensuring fun in the snow for all categories of skiers.
Each year in January there is the downhill World Cup Lauberhorn, considered one of the most spectacular in the Alps.
