The district of MondoléSki is in a particularly sunny area, just a few miles from Mondovi (CN) and is the ideal place for non-skiers, thanks to the presence of discos, cinemas, ice-skating rinks, restaurants and other premises.
The ski area offers 100 km of pistes for Alpine skiing with 24 lifts immersed in the magnificent panorama of the Alps Maritime. There is particular care taken in preparing the slopes and a constant renewal of the installations and facilities have made Ski area Mondolé one of the most interesting districts in the western alps.
There are facilities for cross-country skiing and also a skating rink, mini moto sleds, climbing wall and swimming pools in hotels that enrich the potential of the resort.

The Monviso, King of Stone

The Monviso, with its 3841 meters high, stands out clearly above the Alpi Cozie constitutes its highest summit, and famous. No western mountains of the Alps, except the Matterhorn, is known as this huge rocky pyramid visible from almost anywhere away from the plains of Milan in the days more terse. Rises and majestic and isolated, although not reaching € 4000 for only 150 meters, it still shows the appearance of a mountain rather harsh and demanding on which were measured some of the greatest names in history.

On 19 April 2009 will be disputed, the 17th edition of the Trofeo Mezzalama, beginning at Breuil Cervinia, through the Val d'Ayas and ends in Gressoney Valley. A marathon with classic equipment, whether international, starting in line open to teams of three athletes / and roped. A challenge along a difficult path that winds especially over three thousand meters, passing in two even four thousand. The pre-enrollment for the year 2009 came to 397 teams, compared with 260 two years ago to 115, 2005. Each team has three athletes. A contract is regulated by FISI (Italian Federation of Winter Sports) and the 'ISMF (International Ski Mountaineering Federation).
