Fischer Vacuum: second skin
by Federico Casnati

The boot becomes a second skin. So is the new boot Fischer presented at the ISPO in Monaco, thanks to new materials and construction processes seem to forget the pain in the feet, weakness of many skiers. P>
Until the last season the innovative contribution of Fischer was based on setting called SOMAtech, namely a support base of the offset foot, with heel slightly rotated toward the inside and consequently with the plant to the outside of a few degrees . This also allows you to maintain a position on the skis as natural as possible. P> After 5 years of testing
Fischer is now ready to present the public with a new material they are made boots. According to the inventors, the Vacuum Fit (the name of the new technology) will allow an optimal housing of the foot.
This technology allows to adapt the shape of the hull, in all its parts, the anatomy of piede.Il system has already been tested for some race by Kostelic and seeing the results (it has double the points of second place!) looks promising. p>
Specifically the Vacuum Fit is to use a completely new material and a special adaptation process. The hull is made with the "Vacu-Plast", a patent Fischer which consists of a thermoformable plastic mixture which adapts to the morphology of the foot by a process of thermoforming (heats the hull and then assumes a position style skier for a few minutes and the material adapts to the foot).
Vacu-Plast is also distinguished by a greater lightness than the usual polyurethanes by nearly 30% and should confer greater resistance to changes in temperature, to avoid the annoying problem of the boot is too soft to hot to cold and not manageable.
The system will be adopted on Vacuum Vacuum Soma RC4 Pro 150 and 130 athletes, 130 Vacuum Soma, Soma Soma Vacuum Vacuum Trinity 100 and 110 ( Lady), ie all the top range models.
It is pleasant to note that these changes only after years of marketing for the service, many begin to think seriously about the problem of foot pain, which takes away a lot of skiers from ski fields. The peculiarity of this technology is double: on one hand, the thermoformable liner is not only included in the price, but is thermoformed with a new, less invasive procedure. On the other hand, this was seconded by new thermoforming plastic hull: sometimes happened that obtained a liner perfectly tailored, the advantage was sacrificed by a shell that is too hard or did not fit the foot.
