Super fun, powerful and versatile Splitboard

I chose the Jones Hovercraft splitboard because I wanted a splitboard that is not just light and easy to hike up with but also delivers the fun and power that a normal Snowboard would on the way down. I’m 183 cm tall, I weigh 83 kilos and my shoe size is 42.5 EU. My body type is on the slim side. I’m 31 years old and I’ve been snowboarding since roughly 23 years now. I’ve picked up splitboarding roughly 5-6 years ago and since then cannot stop. However, I’ve always had the struggle to find a board that fits to my needs and that does it all. I know I found it now!
I had the chance to test the board in spring-like firm conditions as well as in full fresh powder. Both ways the Hovercraft always outperformed all my previous boards, and I am super happy with my decision. It’s a very light board with a sleek and sturdy design. On the way up it fits perfectly into the skin tracks so it’s easy and versatile on the way up. As soon as you reached the peak, and you turn two parts into one – that’s when the fun starts. The Hovercraft has great torsion and it’s neither too stiff nor too flexy. It allows for big open turns but also does just fine in narrow treeruns. It’s definitely the quickest and most responsive board I’ve ever ridden and it’s so much fun.
In conclusion, the Jones Hovercraft 2.0 Splitboard is a game-changer for backcountry enthusiasts. It strikes the perfect balance between uphill efficiency and downhill performance, making it an excellent investment for those who crave adventure beyond the resort boundaries. I would recommend this board for advanced snowboarders that want to explore more and have a board that they can rely on to 100%. My last advice would be to buy it in exactly the same size or a tiny bit smaller than your normal freeride board. Definitely don’t go any bigger than necessary.
