Jones Snowboards Ultra Prodigy 140 2023 Snowboard
The ultimate board for up-and-coming shredders who already rip like the greats
Unlike most kids' boards, the Jones Ultra Prodigy is not made for the first turns but for kids who are already ripping properly and need a board that supports them. Built with the same high-quality materials as adult boards, the Prodigy also delivers the same performance as the big ones. It's a little narrower than most youth boards, allowing kids to move from edge to edge faster and race through the resort. The True Camber offers the best edge hold, while the Directional Twin Shape takes on everything from park to powder. A lightweight, extremely high-quality core and the sintered base round off the ultimate snowboard for the boys.
Riding style
The Jones Ultra Prodigy is made for advanced kids who are past their first turns and need a board that will support them the rest of the way, from park laps to powder runs.
Shape
The Directional Twin Shape is perfect for improving your switch skills. In deep snow the Blunt Nose makes sure less snow comes over the sides of your nose than it would with a regular shape. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Traction Tech 1.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions.
Profile
The True Camber provides the best edge hold, is agile and reacts to every movement with lightning speed. Advanced kids can let off steam with it and be sure that the edge will hold.
Flex
The medium flex (6/10) is playful, but at the same time offers enough control and response.
Construction
The triple density Power Core features hardwood bamboo stringers for extra pop and durability, and paulownia for weight savings. The biax fibreglass provides a playful and snappy ride. Super Sap bio resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy, making production a little more environmentally friendly. The ECO-Plastic Topsheet is made from castor seeds. This biomaterial is extremely light, resistant to scratches and breaks, and water and snow repellent. The construction is rounded off with the hard, fast and sintered 8000 base.
Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.
Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
