New High Performance Splitboard from Temple & Cannon Cummins

The Banked Country Split is the ultimate splitboard for riders who enjoy the climb and absolutely rip on the way down. Designed by Temple Cummins and his son Cannon, this is a fantastic father-son project. A refined high-performance splitboard with a reactive sidecut, the new Directional Progressive Pro Magne Traction® technology and the potential to rock the whole mountain.

Riding style
An all-mountain/freeride board for advanced riders. This board is perfect for fast turns on the piste and in the backcountry. It offers plenty of floatation in deep powder and reliable performance and stability in challenging terrain. On the way up you will enjoy a light Paulownia core.

Shape
With the tapered directional shape, the nose is slightly longer and in this case, only slightly wider than the tail. The bindings and the sidecut are offset to the back. This increases the stability at higher speeds and the lift in powder. Directional Progressive Pro Magne Traction® technology is a combination of a standard sidecut from the nose to the middle of the board and serrated edges from the middle to the tail. This provides a smooth ride at the front of the board and a powerful, grippy edge hold in the tail. Similar to the fins of a surfboard.

Profile
The C3 profile is a classic camber profile with a slight rocker between the bindings. This provides precise edge control from nose to tail and maximum stability for high airs and landings. The mild rocker makes the board a bit more playful and offers more uplift than conventional camber profiles.

Flex
The stiff flex provides you with absolute running smoothness and stability at high speeds, giving you a precise ride feel and a lot of pop.

Construction
The core of 95 % paulownia and stringer of Aspen wood is very light, sustainable, robust and poppy. Bi- and triaxial fibreglass surrounds the wood core and provides the necessary stiffness and durability. The Eco Sublimated PolyTopsheet is sustainably produced. The sintered base is very fast and stays that way if you take good care of it.

About Gnu

Gnu have been around since the birth of snowboarding, claiming weird, open minded experimentation to be their job. They have worked with mysterious materials, bizarre geometries, contours and board shapes, far out art and colors, odd terrain and freakish riders to create fantastic progressive snowboards that have helped take snowboarding to wild and magical places. A brand we are happy to call one of the family.
