MODERN, LIGHTWEIGHT FREESTYLE BOOT WITH TRADITIONAL LACING AND BOA® STR8JKT

Developed by Salomon's world-class team, the Salomon Launch Lace SJ Boa® Team Boot is a brilliant all-round freestyle/park boot for the modern freestyle rider. A special Fit To Ride manufacturing process is used in the production for a perfect fit and excellent comfort right from the start. The BOA® STR8JKT system also ensures first-class heel hold in a compact design.

Outer boot
In the Fit To Ride manufacturing process, Salomon removes unnecessary layers, improves the construction process and works with high-quality materials. This makes the boots 10 % lighter and more compact, with a durable fit and medium flex. The Feather Outsole is a lightweight EVA and rubber outsole for comfortable grip and smooth landings.

Liner
The comfort liner wraps your foot in a soft material for instant and long-lasting comfort. It also features an easy glide patch and Ultralon multi-density foam. For added comfort and maximum support, all custom fit liners have heat-mouldable foam strategically placed in the sensitive areas of the foot, shin, ankle and heel. The Ortholite C2 footbed made of high-density material and additional memory foam gives you support and protects your feet.

Lacing system
The traditional lacing system is and remains one of the best and most reliable lacing systems for snowboard boots. Many riders continue to trust the classic lacing and appreciate the easy swap-out when the lacing breaks. STR8JKT is an additional Boa® lacing in the heel area, for best hold in the shoe and optimal comfort.

Very good

Salomon Launch Boa SJ is my boot choice after snowboarding in Vans Invado Pro. I have to say it notably more soft, with flex 4. I think these boots will break in to get even softer. This is a good thing if you are riding mid to soft flexed boards.

I chose this boot because of the lacing system. It is the perfect combination of laces and a boa heel holder. It is so good that they have a wide pressurepoint for the boa laces. The regular laces are nice in the sense that they do stretch a little bit, so you can tighten them up wholly. Lace boots require a little breaking in to get them right. Even with this, it is perfect out of box boot.

I am riding either DC Ply or Rome Freaker. This boot excels more with my shorter and easier DC Ply, other options I recommend are Rome Stale Crewzer, Salomon Abstract/Sleepwalker or Capita Indoor survival for the most optimal park setup. It is very comfortable boot, however with little impact protection. This means you are close to the board and board feel is immense.
