|  | Les Deux Alpes | | Les Deux Alpes is a famous tourist destination and is 1650 meters above sea level. The area is divided between the municipalities of Mont-de-Lans and Venosc in the Rhone-Alps region. You can rely on more than 220 km of trails that run between 3600 and 1300 meters with modern facilities.
It's become famous for being an important centre for fans of summer skiing to gather. There are glacial slopes that extend above the altitude of 3200m above sea level and in the summer you can count up to 40 km of trails for downhill. This is one of the most interesting summer glaciers in Europe, both for skiing km and the variety of tracks. At 3400m there is the beautiful Ice Cave, containing stunning ice sculptures. The operators of Les 2 Alpes are pioneers in the design and maintenance of the Snow Park. For nearly 12 years they have had a team dedicated to the park's development, woking in collaboration with the most demanding riders.

Against the beautiful backdrop of the Mont-Blanc the Freeride World Tour 2010 kicked off in perfect weather conditions on the 500 metre “Pentes de l’Hôtel” face at the Brévent ski area in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. The 50 best freeriders on the planet put on an amazing performance, showing the 3000 cheering spectators the top of their game on the committing face and challenging snow conditions. The most impressive run of the day was the clean victory of French freestyle legend Candide Thovex, debuting in freeride contests, announcing a promising future.

The Freeride World Tour announces its third season. The world's best skiers and snowboarders will yet again be battling it out in four of the world's most prestigious ski resorts. It will all start on the Russian slopes of Sochi in January followed closely by the next stage in Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France. The Tour will then journey to the United States to “ride” the mythical Tram Face, that has not yet officially been cleared for a freeriding competition. Finally, those riders with the top ratings will compete in the Tour's grand final in Verbier during the Nissan Xtreme by Swatch which celebrates its 15th year. Get ready for the ride…or breathtaking action guaranteed!
