Passo del Tonale
Located on the border between Lombardy and Trentino Alto Adige, surrounded by the Adamello - Presanella Ortles Cevedale and Brenta, Passo Tonale is a natural bowl and open panora that spreads between 1884 and 3100 meters of altitude. The resort has an excellent tourist area and offers a ski area with a network of over 70 km of ski runs, more than half of which are covered by a network of snow cannons.
From December 2006 you can ski to the town of Ponte di Legno Tonale and return on a brand new gondola. Its proximity to the glacier Presena also allows for summer skiing.
For lovers of cros-coutry, Passo Tonale has 21 km of pistes spread out over 3 circuits.
In summer it becomes an excellent destination for tourists who love nature at high altitude, offering excursions and walks in the country and a wonderful experience of panoramic and flora-fauna.
Glacier Presena
At the Presena glacier, it is possible to ski in spring and in summer. The glacier is devoid of crevices and sheltered from the winds, in summer the snow cover ranges from 150 to 300 cm and is one of Europe's most interesting for summer skiing.
The ski pistes are managed by dall'Adamello and is ideal for training teams of all nationalities. It is therefore not unlikely to meet some famous athlete on the same chair.
There are three facilities that remain open in the summer and serve four tracks leading from the glacier at 2585 meters of Paradise Pass 3,000 meters Top Presena.
Wooden bridge
Ponte di Legno is a beautiful resort that has managed to keep the charm of an ancient village intact whilst integrating the needs of modern tourism.
Thanks to a new chairlift it is connected to the Passo del Tonale by a new gondola.
The resort offers 14 km of slopes and 21 km of cross country tracks. All the tracks in Ponte di Legno benefit from artificial snow.
In summer you can make excursions in the Adamello Group Presanella, to play golf in Valbione, mountain biking and horse riding. It is also possible to practice ski mountaineering, ice skating, sledding, snowmobile and try dog sledding.
Temù is a small village of 'Alta Val Camonica at 1150 meters altitude.
From the 2005/2006 season you can ski between 1120 and 1900 meters on 8 beautiful tracks plunge into the woods covered with snow canons. The station is connected via skis to Ponte di Legno.
Cross-country skiing is not only in Ponte di Legno Tonale, also try the 10 km circuit of Vezza d'Oglio-Temù.
There are many ski mountaineering routes around Wooden Bridge: One of the most interesting is climb to the Adamello Vedretta through the Mandrone and the Pian di Neve.
