Fischer, Elan and Salomon: the most interesting novelty ISPO 2011
by Federico Casnati

The most important show of Alpine skiing, the ISPO in Monaco, is terminated by a week and already you can make some comments on the main news. There are three proposals that have most changed the market landscape: the new Fischer ski boots, the Elan and Salomon Amphibio BBR. P>
now, aided by the growing market projected forward, the more attention will have already seen these three attractive innovations: the boots are Fischer RC4 year to date at the foot of the athletes of the World Cup, again in Cup world (but only on the podium at Kitz) have seen the strange blue and Salomon skis Elan Amphibio are already on the snow for the ritual presentations to retailers and enthusiasts. p>
Fischer proposes for its high-end boots a new construction method, called Vacuum Fit Technology that promises to have a boot on virtually extent. The boot is in fact produced with a thermoformable plastic mixture able to adapt perfectly to the feet of each with a specific procedure. Also the plastic of the hulls is changed, in addition to being lighter will also be less sensitive to external temperatures. P>
Elan instead proposes a concept (which will deepen very) of right and left ski, called Amphibio, playing with the inclination of the outer foil of each ski. In short, the outer foil is higher than the toe, the cd. roker effect which is exploited in the long freeride skis. Skiing, viewed from the front will support then in full by the inner (lamina classical) while from the outside foil roker begin to touch the snow, but not immediately at the tip below.
With this the inversion device becomes easier and lightning, having in fact a foil shorter. The grip on the snow will be great and will facilitate the work of the knees in edge grip, helping the parallelism. P>
Salomon BBR proposes instead, a very strange shaped skis that also plays between different sidecut and construction methods. It is initially designed as a ski to float in deep snow but also to be appreciated on the track. The new form V-shape is characterized by a broad peak, the narrow side and the particular form "pintail". The light weight and easy to vary the radius of law in place to try skiing and fun for next year. P>
