Yoga breathing, the four phases of wellness

Yoga is a school of life, a way to interpret ourselves and the things of the world with a perspective different from the usual and, according to the ancient masters, to complete a science investigation of the inner world.

Hatha yoga, the practice of diaphragmatic breathing, is an important discipline of yoga practices that can help even those who do not practice yoga to become aware of their breathing bodies involved.
Breathing Pranayama yoga is very beneficial overall. The blood is made more rich in oxygen, not so much in the moment of applying the technique, as throughout the day, since normal respiration is stimulated and made more fruitful for a period about 24 hours. The blood shows improved quality and quantity, has more adequately the whole body, especially the brain, the spinal nerves and spinal related, with significant benefit of the whole body is kept healthy, strong and young. The unique influence of yoga breathing on nervous and endocrine system - the slow and deep breathing is known have a sedative effect - create the harmony necessary for health. It was noted that more controlled breaths are slow and easy acumen, vision and the creation of the mind and eliminate the practice with the psychological tendency to restlessness. The word sukha is something relevant to the joy or pleasure to happiness . The correct translation of Sukha Pranayama would be: control (ayam) the breath of life(prana) so easy or even pleasant (sukha), and currently uses the term breathing easy or pleasant.
The yoga breathing exercises should be performed without undue effort and with sweetness.

To practice pranayama during the sessions of yoga, in general, you choose a position of meditation as the lotus (padma-asana, shown) or yogini perfect posture (Siddha-asana) in case of difficulty, however it may be seated normally, even on a chair.
Important however is to have the spine, neck and head well aligned vertically and once the best place to stay is good real estate until the end of practice.
A complete breath consists of three phases: inspiration (puraka), retention (kumbhaka) and exhalation (recaka).

On-sukha pranayama has four specific stages of the same duration (eg nine breaths for each type) each able to develop a quality:
- In the first phaseit tends to develop only the 'inspiration and' exhalation balanced between them and this is the stage commonly called sukha which develops balance and harmony.

In the second phase, the phase loma, it inspires, it retains a full lungs and exhales. The Sanskrit word can mean loma positive assimilante, convex, heating. This stage, because of the retention in the lungs full, it tends to store energy.

The third phase viloma provides the following conduct: inhalation, exhalation and to hold the lungs empty. Viloma is negative, an oxidant, concave and refreshing. That breathing is calming.

In 'final stage catur (catur is number four in Sanskrit) develops breathing square where all four phases converge: inspire, retain a full lungs, exhalation, hold on empty lungs. Here we develop the 'self.

Each of these four phases, if necessary can be used separately to develop their quality. In this case the number of breaths to be made could be decided after the objective.  Better, however, in order to avoid unpleasant imbalances, seek advice from an expert teacher.
It would also be advisable, at the end of practice, relax for a few minutes on the floor, promoting the resumption of spontaneous breathing and natural.
